Mediation is conducted by a Mediator who is a trained, neutral, third party. The mediator strives to be balanced, neutral and impartial. The role of the mediator is to facilitate communication between the parties, not to impose solutions. Mediators do not take sides nor do they render judgments. The mediator works with both sides to help the parties reach a mutually acceptable resolution.
